How to cancel your subscription

Cancellation is one message or a couple of clicks. No call. No “let me transfer you to retention”. No fee. You stay on until the end of the month you have already paid for, then it stops.

There is no lock-in, so you can cancel any time. If you are still inside your first 14 days, you are also covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which give you a 14-day cooling-off period and a refund. See “Your 14-day refund right” below.

The two ways to cancel

Option A, self-serve via the Stripe client portal.

1. Open the client portal at veryseoly.com/portal.
2. Enter the email you used at signup. Stripe emails you a one-time login link.
3. Click the link, scroll to your active subscription.
4. Click Cancel plan. Stripe asks you to confirm.
5. You will see “Cancels on [end of current billing month]”, that is it.

Option B, message me.

Email me and say “cancel my subscription”. I will do it on my side within the hour during working time. You get a confirmation email from Stripe the moment it is actioned.

Either way works. The portal is faster if it is 2am and you just want it done.

Your 14-day refund right

If you cancel within 14 days of first signing up, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a cooling-off period and a refund of what you have paid. Just cancel by either method above inside those 14 days and tell me you would like the refund, and I will process it back to your card.

After the 14 days, there is still no lock-in and no fee to leave. You simply stay live until the end of the month you have already paid for, then billing stops.

What happens after you cancel

• The site keeps running until the end of the paid month, nothing goes dark mid-month.
• The day after your last paid day, the site comes offline. The domain stays yours.
• Within 14 days I export your CRM (Capsule), newsletter subscribers (Resend EU), and form submissions to CSV, plus a zip of the static site build, and email it to you.
• Within 60 days the personal data is deleted from my active systems. Billing records (invoices) are retained 6 years for HMRC.

Files handover

The handover bundle includes:

• A zip of the rendered static site (HTML, CSS, images), drop into any host
• The full Astro source repo on GitHub (transferred to your account), keep the EU-sovereign build pattern if you want to
• CRM export (Capsule CSV)
• Newsletter subscriber export (Resend EU CSV)
• Form submission archive (CSV)

You can take the lot to a different agency or host it yourself. Nothing is locked. If you take bookings or payments through your site, those customers are yours, and they come with you.

Changed your mind?

If you cancel and want back on within 30 days, the site spins back up and you keep your old URL. After 30 days I treat it as a fresh build, quoted to your business from scratch, and we pick the monthly retainer back up from there.
