How to request a content change

Send the brief by email or the contact form. Small edits are covered by your monthly retainer, and bigger work that adds new infrastructure gets a tailored quote.

Last updated 1 July 2026

Content changes are part of your monthly retainer. There is no portal to log into, no ticket to file, no “Tier 2 support please”. You message me the change, I action it, typically within 48 hours during working time.

How to send the brief

Email is fastest, hello@veryseoly.com. Type the change. Attach photos, screenshots, a PDF of the new menu, whatever helps. Same-hour reply during working time (Sun to Fri).

The contact form at /contact is the alternative if you would rather not open your email client. First thing the next working day. You can also call +44 7553 070841.

The brief does not need to be polished. “New phone number is 0113 XXX XXXX, replace the old one everywhere” is enough. “Change the prices on the services page, see attached PDF” is enough. I will come back with clarifying questions if I need anything.

What your retainer covers

Small edits to your existing pages are covered by your monthly retainer. That covers:

  • Text changes, rewrite a paragraph, update a price, change a phone number
  • Image swaps, replace a stock photo with one you have taken
  • Adding or removing items in a list (services, team members, testimonials)
  • Refreshing the homepage hero text seasonally
  • Adding a new blog post you have written
  • Updating opening hours, contact details, social links

Most of these are same-day jobs during working time. There is no per-change fee, you simply send the brief.

How the retainer is scoped

Your retainer is quoted to your business, and website management starts from £49 a month, scoped to what your site actually needs, and services may vary. The more I look after for you each month, the more proactive I am with the site:

  • Keeping your existing pages current with the small edits above
  • Changes to your bookings and payments setup (availability, services, surcharges), so your enquiries and orders keep flowing. Remember the bookings and payments are yours, you own the customer relationship
  • Regular, ongoing content work, lead-magnet refreshes, and tweaks to your reporting as your needs change
  • The hands-on work aimed at growing your local visibility

There is no lock-in. You can cancel any time, and there is a 14-day refund window under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

How the build and retainer fit together

Before any build, I run a paid Marketing & Automation Deep-Dive: a consultation, a written audit, and a fixed quote for the work. The £300 fee is credited in full against any build you go ahead with. The build itself is quoted to your business as a one-off, and then the monthly retainer keeps it current. The retainer is separate from the one-off build, and there is no lock-in on it.

What triggers a tailored quote

A “content change” stops being a content change and starts being a build when it adds new infrastructure:

  • A new page (see request a new page)
  • A new section that requires new design components, a calculator, an interactive map, a multi-step form, a custom comparison table
  • Integration with a new third-party service (a new booking platform, a new CRM, a new payment processor)
  • Restructuring the site information architecture
  • A second site

These get a one-off tailored quote, scoped to the work. Email me and I will come back within a day with an honest estimate.

Turnaround

Simple edits: same day during working time. Multi-page edits (for example a price change everywhere): next working day. New blog post: 24 to 48 hours. Anything I cannot hit in 48 hours, I will tell you the day I receive it and give you a date.
